Am not sure about being able to share across the net as DLNA uses multicast to locate resources, this multicast traffic could be dropped by your ISP's routers. As per the source, fuppes is a GPLed project am not the author i just packaged an ubuntu package because there was none out there. A howtoforge user offered to package the 64bit version i have not recieved feedback from him yet however i will make my build sources available for anyone to download and build for themselves.
The link to the source does not work I would be willing to build the 64 bit. I just installed a 32 bit next to the 64 bit and keep getting this error "[ERROR] failed to bind socket to : Seems like something is already bound to that port, send me a message on the forum and i will send you the build. When I access an artist it flashes up with 'No Albums Found' before listing all songs for that artist. All my metadata is correct and contains artist and album details. Any ideas? I have read the vfolder. I have the standard set of folder configurations but this seems to be ignored for the XBox as it has it's own menu structure.

But I have never been able to find out how to set up folders properly so that they all do not dump in one folder on Xbox Is there a how-to to setting up virtual folders or folder tree in fuppes so I don't have to surf through a ton of items? PLease, please, some one help I'm using Fuppes with both my xbox and my PS3. It works fine but I must admit it was rather cumbersome to configure the fuppes. Plus I still dont have it working with MKV files.
Its such a great program, I'm sure a lot more people would use it if it came with sample. Thats strange What version of ubuntu are you using? Latest update, Hardy Heron 8. You won't get. Xbox nor PS3 will play them. You have to convert to.
Also, fuppes does not transcode. So, the hd stuff has to be manually converted. I'm getting the same thing. I had fuppes running without video transcoding was able to view pics and play audio on my PS3.
I then installed ffmpeg from source SVN r and when I went back to recompile fuppes to enable video transcoding and I get the error above during make whether I enable video transcoding or not. I am running the server edition of Gutsy. I now have ffmpeg svn installed and running or seeming to anyway, ffmpeg -version responds correctly and fuppes installed and running, but no video transcoding. If I try to run:. If I disable libavformat fuppes works fine with my PS3, but only for audio and pics. I have a couple questions if anyone can answer them. I understand that ffmpeg is necessary for fuppes to do on-the-fly transcoding, but is it still required if the video files are already in a format supported by the client device? PS3 in my case 2. If so, what versions of ffmpeg, fuppes, and Ubuntu are you running? Constructive replies would be appreciated I've given up on this and gone over to mediatomb.
Got that up and running in a few hours. You have not installed the That's why you don't have the required header. You need dev versions of all the fuppes dependencies before you can compile it.
