Click the Printer Settings tab. Click the Scan Defaults link. Change the Network Port default to Wired. Click Restart Printer to apply new settings. Register a user in the EWS. Type the IP address of the printer and click Go. In the printer's Web page, on the left-side menu, click the Address Book link. The default username is: admin The default password is: none, leave blank Click OK to open the address book. Click the Server Address tab, then click the first available unused Create button.
In the Server Address registration form, enter a Name for the registration entry. Select the Server Type. Enter the IP-Address of the computer or server where the scan is sent.
Enter the Server Port Number for the computer or server where the scan is sent. Enter the Login Name for the computer share or the server path, if the system requires data where the scan is sent. Select the Enable Password checkbox and enter the login password of the computer or server, if the system requires data where the scan is sent.
Create a shared folder. Locate or create a folder on your computer where you want to send the scanned images. An example of folder name is MyShare. Right-click the folder, and then select Properties. In the Properties dialog box, click the Sharing tab, and then click Share this folder.
Enter a shared name in the Shared name box. The name entered must be the same as the Share Name entered when the user was registered in the server address book.
Click Permissions to create a write permission for this folder. Click Add. Enter your user login name in the Enter the object names to select box. An example of a user login name is Myself.
