For that much money it should work for quite awhile and am seeing others have had the same problem. Probably won't buy this brand again which is sad bc I loved this!
I have had this for a few years. I got a deal on it at a salon. I rarely use the vibrating plates because they don't seem to straightener as well as non-vibrating. I have thick, fine hair. I usually have to section it pretty small to get truly straight hair. I don't feel like it damages my hair. It doesn't snag my hair either. I love this product but for the price, it should last more than a year.
It still works but the heat drops very fast. I have to use it at and it drops to ish within a second or two. I'm now shopping for a new straightner, ugh! I purchased this iron about 8 months ago and fell in love with it. I have super long, thick hair and it worked like a dream. I have only used it maybe 20 times so far. I tried using it yesterday and the vibrating option is barely working. Unbelievable for the price.
Of course there is nothing I can do. I would not recommend this product for that price nor on sale. I've read a few reviews about the flat irons and blow dryers from this company and a common occurrence is that you fall in love with the product, only for it to stop working.
I was hoping that maybe they just had a poor series which does happen with every product out there and have since fixed whatever the issues were, but I was wrong. I curl or straighten my hair with a flat iron an average of times a week and instantly fell in love with this product.
However, like other reviews have suggested, it suddenly stopped working after about a month or so of use. I personally don't mind if a product you use often dies within a year or two, but within a couple of months I really like how this flat iron works on my hair. My issue is I've had two not that both broke. One had an issue with the switch that turns on the vibration - it basically broke and just kept vibrating even when not in use. The second one had an issue with the heat.
It wouldn't heat up. So something faulty there. Bought one for my niece and one for myself.
