Place the solution in a spray bottle. Wipe the window clean in one direction using paper towels or a rubber squeegee. Work down from the top. Spray and wipe down the other side of the glass. Wipe up and down, across the window. After washing the windows with soap and water to remove excess dirt, make a spray cleanser by adding 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar to 1 quart water in a spray bottle.

You'll also need rubber gloves to protect your skin and a face mask to filter fumes. Mix ammonia at the same ratio as vinegar -- 2 tablespoons per quart of water.
